Introduction - UP CLOSE with NATURE

This website features articles on nature – mostly photo-essays – that I have written over the years for various publications. The articles are kept in the “folders” in the left column. Click on a folder to see the list of articles in it.
     The articles are illustrated with lots of photos. Since space is now no longer a constraint, I have included more pictures here than were originally used with these articles.
     If you don’t want to read, you can just see the photos. Click on a thumbnail image and the larger photo opens in a new window. You can navigate to a limited extent in the new window to see the other photos. Close that window to return to the article.
     There are still a number of my articles that I hope to share with other nature lovers. When I find the time, I will format/mark up these articles and scan more photos to place them in this website. Do check back when you are free to do so.
