This picture was taken after I had been observing a trail of the Weaver Ant
(Oecophylla smaragdina) along the trunk of a mango tree for some time.
While moving up or down the tree, some of the ants would stop, feel each other with
their antennae, engage in trophal-laxis and then go their separate ways.
