Chliaria othona is typical of members of the Lycaenidae family, being small
in size and sporting filamentous “tails”. At a glance, this butterfly appears
to have two heads. This is reverse head mimicry, a defence tactic developed to trick its
predators into thinking that its hind-end is the head.
