The Punchinello (Zemeros flegyas albipunctatus)... this is a rare shot showing the top surface of this butterfly. It was not easy to “get on top” of this rather fidgety creature. The deep shadow falling to the right was caused by a combination of electronic flash and the late afternoon sun. This photo was taken sometime in the mid-1980s and the quality of the colour slide has already begun to deteriorate.
