The posture of this butterfly, Zemeros emesoides emesoides, is typical of the
metalmarks and judies, i.e. with wings half-open and with the forewings held rather foreward.
Like other species in this group, Zemeros emesoides emesoides is found
singly in well-wooded localities on hill slopes. And like its cousin, the Punchinello (Zemeros
flegyas albipunctatus), it may be seen in the more open, sunny areas of the forest.
