Crab spider with butterfly prey...
A small lycaenid butterfly with a wingspan of perhaps only 1.5cm had fallen prey to a crab
spider very much smaller than itself. Compare sizes
with the Golden Dewdrop flower which has a diameter of roughly 1cm. The Golden Dewdrop
(Duranta repens) is a native of tropical America introduced recently to
Southeast Asia as a garden shrub.
