UP CLOSE WITH SPIDERS – PHOTO GALLERY
This picture was taken in Rawang, near Kuala Lumpur, in 1997. This bird-dung crab spider
is one of the most unusual creatures that I have seen. This species has taken
on the appearance of bird droppings splattered onto a leaf to fool and catch insect prey.
