UP CLOSE WITH SPIDERS – PHOTO GALLERY

This picture was taken in Ulu Bruas, Perak, in 1996. The spider and its prey were at the end of
a bamboo stick stuck into the side of a pond. The end of the stick was just over the water. It
was not possible for me to get closer without shaking the bamboo and without having to step into
the water, which would have disturbed the spider anyway.
