This picture of a lynx spider in aggressive posture (or ambush position) was also taken in the Kuala Lumpur Lake Garden in the mid-1980s. I have often seen lynx spiders waiting in ambush with their front legs raised half-way up like this, ready to capture any insect that comes within striking range.
