UP CLOSE WITH SPIDERS – PHOTO GALLERY

This picture was taken in Sungai Lallang, Selangor, in 1999. A similar photo from the series was submitted as an entry for a photo contest run by the Malaysian Nature Society and it won first prize. (See my story.) Leucauge spiders build their webs close to the ground in shady areas, often beside forest streams or rivers or pools of water.
