This picture was taken on Pantai Hill, Kuala Lumpur, in the mid-1980s. (In fact, it’s the same spider as in Photos 5 and 6 but taken some days earlier.) The spider appears to be hanging in mid-air as it was shot against the sky, making most of the web invisible in this photo. Part of the stabilimentum can be seen in the lower portion of the photo.
