The combination of blue and black on the Blue Pansy (Junonia orithya wallacei)
gives the illusion that it has the deepest blue colour among butterflies. This, however,
is only true for the male of the species as the female is more sombrely “attired”.
And because of the different appearance, the species is said to be sexually dimorphic.
