The Malay Red Harlequin (Para-laxita damajanti damajanti) lives in shady,
well-wooded localities, and photographing this butterfly requires electronic flash
light. It is also very easily spooked, taking flight at the slightest disturbance in
its vicinity. You can see why it’s referred to as a metalmark. In this photo, the
light blue “metallic flecks” appear quite shiny, large due perhaps to the flash lighting.
