Airborne terror of the insect world...
Large dragonfly species can fly up to speeds of 100kph. Ictinogomphus decoratus is
about 12-13cm (about 5 inches) long and is one or largest species that I have seen. It
was perched at the edge of a pond, waiting to strike at small insects flying over the water.
