Crab spider lying in ambush... Flowers which attract nectar-feeding insects are favourite ambush spots of crab spiders. This one was photographed waiting on a Straits Rhododendron (Melastoma malabathricum) flower for prey, but it was ignoring the black ants crawling about on the flowers.
