Aerial pitcher of Nepenthes lowii... This aerial pitcher of Nepenthes lowii was seen on the lower elevations of Gunung Trusmadi (about 7,600ft asl). Even though it is “sitting” on moss-covered ground and partly covered by the moss, this is an aerial pitcher and has a gourd-like shape. In Nepenthes species, the ground pitcher and aerial pitcher usually differ in shape, but the difference is quite dramatic in N. lowii.
